Why ClassPass Is a Game-Changer for Your Fitness Routine

If you’re like me and love variety in your workouts but don’t want to commit to just one studio or gym, ClassPass might be the perfect solution. From high-intensity interval training to calming yoga, ClassPass has partnered with some of the most wonderful studios in the GTA. Additionally, when you sign up for the membership, you get access to wellness and beauty studios like spas and beauty salons.

Here’s why I think ClassPass is an excellent option for fitness lovers and a breakdown of my experience trying some of Toronto’s top fitness studios.

Why ClassPass is a Great Option?

  • Flexibility: With ClassPass, you’re not locked into one studio or gym. You have access to a huge variety of classes, which keeps your fitness routine exciting and fresh.

  • Variety of Classes: Whether you’re into high-energy workouts like HIIT or prefer something more low-key like yoga, reformer or barre, ClassPass offers it all. You can easily switch things up depending on your mood, goals or energy levels.

  • Workout Cycle Syncing: One thing I loved about ClassPass is that is super flexible. It totally aligns with my goal of workout cycle syncing. During the follicular and ovulatory phase, I could book high-intensity classes like F45 and hot Pilates, and for my luteal or menstrual phases, I had the option to book more restorative practices like yoga or barre. The variety of classes available allows you to tailor your fitness routine to your cycle and energy levels.

  • Convenience: The app makes it easy to browse and book classes based on location, class type, and availability. I loved being able to plan my week around my schedule and try different types of workouts in various neighborhoods.

My ClassPass Experience

  1. F45 Training

F45 is known for its fast-paced, full-body workouts, and I was excited to go back to this training. I’ve tried before and I just loved it. The class was intense, combining strength training and cardio intervals. I loved the high-energy atmosphere and fun environment, with live DJ included.

What I Liked:

The trainers were motivating and helped with form corrections.

The class was a mix of functional training exercises, so it never got boring.

To Consider:

F45 is perfect if you’re looking for a high-intensity, sweaty workout, but be prepared for a challenging session.

  1. Flow & Let Go @ ALIVE Movement

I needed some stretching and relaxing after a week of weights, so I attended a Flow & Let Go class at ALIVE Movement. This class was all about moving focusing on your breath, followed by a deep relaxation segment. It was a nice change from the more intense workouts and left me feeling centered and refreshed.

What I Liked:

The space was warm and inviting, and the teacher was very calming.

The combination of flow movements and deep stretching was the perfect way to unwind.

To Consider:

If you’re feeling stressed or in need of some relaxation, this class is a great option to restore both body and mind.

  1. Hot Pilates @ Sweat and Tonic

My friends and I signed up for the Hot Pilates class at Sweat and Tonic and we just loved it. This was an intense, full-body workout in a heated room at around 38 C that combined traditional Pilates moves with high-energy circuits.

What I Liked:

The heat added an extra challenge, helping with flexibility and making me sweat buckets.

The studio itself is stunning, with a great atmosphere.

I had a little pain from a 24K bike ride from the previous day, but I was completely recovered after some time in the hot room, it was super helpful to reduce inflammation.

To Consider:

The heat can be intense, so be sure to hydrate well, bring light sportswear, and a water bottle.

  1. Iyengar Yoga @ MiBody Health and Fitness

I had heard a lot about Iyengar yoga and wanted to try it for myself. The focus on alignment and precise movements made it a different kind of challenge. I loved how hands-on the instructor was, offering adjustments to deepen my practice. She went around all the class showing to each of the participants how to properly perform the postures.

What I Liked:

The instructor was great, super funny and friendly, really easy to understand her.

Iyengar yoga uses props, which is great for beginners or anyone with injuries.

To Consider:

This class is perfect for those looking to improve flexibility and mindfulness, but it’s less intense than flow yoga.

  1. Signature Barre @ Bode Movement

To finish my monthly credits, I wrapped up my with a Signature Barre class at Bode Movement This class was a fun, fast-paced mix of cardio and barre exercises, targeting small muscle groups. I loved how it focused on toning and sculpting, with a killer leg workout!

What I Liked:

The energy of the instructor was great, she was easy to understand and follow. This was a small class what made it a more personalized class and helped me a lot since this was my first class.

It’s great for toning, especially if you want to work on those “tiny” muscles that other workouts might miss.

To Consider:

If you’re new to barre, be ready to feel the burn—especially in your inner thighs and glutes!

Final Thoughts: Is ClassPass Worth It?

In my opinion, absolutely! ClassPass is perfect if you’re someone who loves variety and doesn’t want to commit to just one gym or studio. With so many options in one app, it’s easy to keep your workouts fresh and exciting.

I also loved how flexible ClassPass was for workout cycle syncing. It made it easy to pick high-energy classes for when I was at my peak energy levels and more restorative options for my lowest energy level phases. This flexibility helped me stay consistent without feeling like I had to push my body too hard.

I’ll definitely be continuing with ClassPass to keep mixing up my fitness routine.
